Pet Portraits

I know it has been a while since I wrote a blog post but I’ve been busy working on paintings for my upcoming art show in Paso Robles. I’m excited to showcase some fun designs and some recent new projects I’ve been making. Stay tuned on more info on that as we get closer to April. For this blog, however, I want to share some recent commissions I designed these last few months.

If you are interested in purchasing a pet portrait or painting, please visit my shop or contact me directly. The turnaround time for these portraits are about a week. However it depends on my workload, detail and complexity.

Meet April. She loves her mama and being cozy in blankets. This portrait was painted for a friend’s mom in Palm Springs, CA for Christmas. She was painted with acrylic on a 6 x 6” tile, and sealed with a gloss varnish.

All tiles are designed to be hung (hook included) unless otherwise specified.

Meet Jack. He’s a stoic fellow who loves to play and snuggle up with his papa. This portrait was painted for a close friend who resides in Whittier, CA during December. He was painted with acrylic on a 6 x 6” tile and sealed with a gloss varnish.

All tiles are designed to be hung (hook included) unless otherwise specified.

Meet Kira. My best friend’s kitten (not so kitten anymore, though). I chose to paint her as a kitten because I always loved how tiny and spunky she was when she was so young. The hardest part of this painting was painting her coat colors. After long hours of mixing paint, I finally was satisfied with out she came out. I used acrylic on a 6 x 6” tile, and sealed with a gloss varnish.

All tiles are designed to be hung (hook included) unless otherwise specified.

Meet Breeze. She was painted for an 18th birthday gift. This painting was a challenge because of her markings however I love how it came out overall. She was painted with acrylic on 8 x 10” canvas fabric, and sealed with a gloss varnish. Since this was painted on canvas fabric, it is easy to frame in a traditional 8 x 10” frame.

Meet Leo. He is very loving but also is a big goof ball who loves the Seattle Seahawks. This was painted for a friend’s boyfriend for Valentine’s Day. He was painted with acrylic on a 6 x 6” tile, sealed with a gloss varnish.

All tiles are designed to be hung (hook included) unless otherwise specified.

Meet Tank. This handsome 18 year old man recently passed and a dear friend wanted something beautiful to remember him by. I really wanted to capture his sweet, inquisitive look and design it in a way to make him really stand out. He was painted with acrylic on a 6 x 6” tile, sealed with a gloss varnish.

All tiles are designed to be hung (hook included) unless otherwise specified.
